Explore the full Sacred Valley with all of its treasures to discovery and archeological sites, and explore amazing ruins and the fabled Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu. The Inca City of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu is the articulating center of its surroundings, a masterpiece of art, urbanism, architecture and engineering of the Inca Civilization.

Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO – PISAC – MORAY – SALT MINE – OLLANTAYTAMBO

We will pick you up at your hotel at 7am, we drive you head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac. We stop at  the mirador of Taray to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley with crops dressing the mountains like a carpet. Onward, we drive to the archaeological site of Pisac, there you can see the largest Inca cemetery with more than 2000 tombs. There we can admire the incredible farming terraces carved into the mountain.

Then we head back to the colourful market of Pisac, we spend some time visiting it and then drive to Urumbamba for lunch and then we go on to the Pre-Inca Salt Mines and then to the archeological site of Moray.  After a time to visit those sites, we finish our tour in Ollantaytambo.

At the end of the day, we explore the archeological site for 1 hour and admire the water fountains, the Sun Temple, the impressive store houses.  Then, we will take the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes  at 7:00pm, where we will spend the night in a hotel.

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Finally we visit Machu Picchu, we take a bus at 5.30am to Machu Picchu archeological site to enjoy the morning sunrise. With our 2hour  tour, we make sure to explore every nook and cranny of this New 7 Wonder of the World. Your guide will expertly direct you through the energetic ruins and its diverse main streets. Or you can stay still and find the peace within as you sit in the pure delight of the moment.

If you wish to indulge in a few of the following activities on your own you can: 

  • Climb Huayna Picchu – appreciate the beauty and magnificence of Machu Picchu (additional fee).
  • Climb Machu Picchu Mt. – appreciate the beauty and magnificence of Machu Picchu (additional fee).
  • You will be given some time to walk to the Sun Gate or Inti Punku. (No additional fee)
  •  Other optional activities in Aguas Calientes include a visit to the new local museum or to the hot springs. (entrance fee).

Day 3: DEPARTURE FROM CUSCO

After having breakfast at the hotel, enjoy your remaining time in Cusco city; then in the afternoon we will drop off at the airport to take your plane back to Lima.
