Day 1 Transfer in
- Time to adjust to the high altitude.
Day 2 City Tour
The City tour in Cusco is half day tour that focuses on the famous archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay. Sacsayhuaman with its impressive Inca architecture dominates the north-eastern part of the city of Cusco next to the Cristo Blanco (white Jesus Statues). Also we visit the Koricancha ( Golden Palace) and the main Cathedral.
Day 3 Sacred Valley – Maras and Moray – Ollantaytambo
This tour starts at your hotel at 8:00 am, next we head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac. We drive up to the look out of Taray to have a classic view of the Sacred valley with corn fields dressing the mountains like a carpet. Onward, we drive to the archaeological site of Pisac, where you can see the largest Inca cemetery with more than 2000 tombs and the incredible farming terraces constructed into the mountain, then we head back to the colorful market of Pisac, then we drive to Urumbamba for lunch, afterwords we go to Ollantaytambo Inka site. We explore the archeological site for 1 hours and admire the water fountains, the Sun Temple, the impressive store houses and we catch our train to Aguas calientes village where we stay overnight before we go to Aguas Calientes.
Day 4 Machu Picchu Tour
This is the day that we encourage you to wake up early in the morning for Machu Picchu to get to the bus station for one of the first shuttle-style buses, This bus will take about 25 minutes to get to Machu Picchu. As soon as you arrive at the Inka site, we will take you to the look out where you take the classical picture of Machupicchu. There will be a rendezvous to observe the sunrise and see a spectacular view of the Lost City of the Incas. You will then have a two hour, guided tour around Machu Picchu. And we return to Aguas calientes finally we catch the train in the afternoon and bus back to Cusco.
Day 5 Rainbow Mountain Hike
We will pick you up from your hotel at 4am, then we begin with our amazing Rainbow Mountain hike. We set out on our drive for 3 hours through the South Valley; via Cusipata ending up the begging of the hike.
After a total hike of 2.30 hours, we finally reach our destination the Rainbow Mountain (5,020m /16,466ft). After being awed by their beauty, you will have time to explore the area. You can take pictures or just soak up the environment. We will spend approximately 30 minutes at the top. At this point, we hike back down the way we came. The hike takes 1.30 hour, then drive for 1 hour for lunch where we enjoy our lunch.
